How to change the links listed under your site on Google

We get this question or something similar often:

  1. How can I change the links that appear when I search my site name on Google?
  2. Or how can I add these links?
  3. My competition has them! Or, my competition has 6, I have only 2, how can I add more?

Those are called sitelinks and are determined automatically by Google algorithms. That means you cannot add them. You can only hide some of them if you think that are not helpful for the user.

If a site is brand new, it won't have any sitelinks, so you just have to wait and they will appear in a few months.

If you already have them and you want to hide some, you can do so from the Google Search Console . Click on Search Appearance , then on Sitelinks .
